Founded in 2025 by Oliver Bureau, Into The Elsewhere is a blog which exists to bring stories from countries and regions which perhaps do not feature regularly on normal travel sites or in literature. From Kyrgyzstan to North Macedonia, the articles published on the website seek to invoke a newfound curiosity in their reader.

Oliver himself has long held a passion for travel to distant (and perhaps less trodden) lands. At university, this included a trip to Central Asia which served to change his perspective on travel, revealing a more rugged and raw experience compared to those on the well-known routes in South East Asia or Australia. This blog is the creative outlet for those experiences, both from Central Asia and beyond.
